Description
Install brass and nickel #2 spur grommets using this die set and the W-1 Hand Press by C.S. Osborne (sold separately). Spur grommets feature metal spurs on the inside of the rim so they won’t easily pull out or spin in the fabric of your application, resulting in a longer lasting attachment.
This set contains three dies that both cut the hole and set your spur grommets. The cutting die is installed in the top of the hand press and works in conjunction with the nylon cutting block (which is included with the tool). After a hole is punched, install the two setting dies in the tool to set the spur grommets. To install grommets, fit the male grommet piece onto the female die and the female grommet piece onto the male die. Depress the handle and your grommet is set.
Note: Do not use this die set to install #2 stainless steel spur grommets.
Please note: This set contains two #2 spur grommet setting dies and one #3 cutting die only. The W-1 Hand Press is sold separately.

Worked great with the W-1 hand press and grommets. I used them all to install grommets in sail to convert from rope to shackle/slug attachment system. Next step is to make a sail cover. I am setting small day sailer/boat up for ease of single handed sailing and sail hoisting and striking
I needed dies for plain #2 grommets and was told these would work. They do not!

We see that you purchased the W-1 Hand Press and #2 Spur Grommet Die set, but you are using #2 Plain Grommets. Sailrite does not carry a die set for the W-1 hand press that will work with #2 plain grommets. You may wish to look at the Pres-n-Snap Installation Tool (#109011) along with the #2 Pres-N-Snap Plain Grommet Die 3/8" (#102213).
