Description
Swivel Bench Hook is a helpful hand-sewing tool. This bench hook acts as a third hand to help keep canvas, a length of line, or other projects taut while you sew by leveraging against the bench it is attached to. Sometimes called canvas hooks or rope hooks, this tool is especially helpful in boltroping.
To use the Swivel Bench Hook, tie the closed end of the hook to a workbench and hook the pointed end onto your fabric.

A lifetime tool, too.
The hook is heavy, and strongly made. I attached it to a six-foot, 3 stranded hemp line with an eye splice. Works great. Like the sailmaker's palm, it's a lifetime tool.
I'll probably order more. incredibly useful.
Will require a little modification but much better than making my own from scratch or paying for one already modified. Great price, construction seems quite solid.

I am making my first sail and didn't know what I needed. So I got one. Looks useful.

Benefts from grinding a point on the end, as recommended in Sails and Sailmaking. Wish it came that way... but it's still simple and reliable.
The hook is not quite share enough, otherwise good.
