How to Install Quick Attach Lifeline Kits from Suncor
Installing a lifeline on a boat is easy using the "Quick Attach" system. Great for boat lifelines but also may be used for industrial or architectural uses where the exact length of the cable cannot be determined beforehand or where assembly needs to take place on-site. Note: Suncor Quick Attach Lifeline kits no longer include the wire; it is sold separately and is available at Sailrite.
Reviews
Very easy to install and when I asked my rigger about the product he said it was about as good as swaged life lines.
High quality fittings
High quality fittings. A bit chunky but looks to be well made. There wire is no longer in the kit. The how-to video is not correct in this regard - it's available separately from SailRite. On my 1996 Catalina 30 I did not need one of the fittings in each kit, as the gate is immediately attached to the stern pushpit. For a double lifeline you need 2 kits per side. The "swage" fittings are a little fiddly but straight forward. Looks nice when installed.
Superior Job
Your company is exceptional, your web site and all the effort to produce the how to videos is quite remarkable. I look to Sailrite first and Defender second for my boating purchases.
Rusty lifelines
This was easy to install. Good hardware, but the metal on the lifelines itself is rusting after 3 years in Southern California weather. Not happy with rusting lifelines. We have done all the preventative measures, but still rust is dripping onto our boat from the metal inside the plastic sleeve. Now we need to replace this again with something better.
