Needed a new one as this was out of shape (bent?)
Replaced 3x in 2 year old machine
Ordering my 3 one now. Had to replace this item 3x in a lsz-1 that’s is only a little over 2 years old. Set screws are in a hard place to reach and had to be replaced via the repair service because I could no longer get them out. Changing the part and adjusting them so much they were stripped.
Part bent on third use of new machine
Part bent on third use of new machine on very light fabric. Needle did not break or bend however machine was unusable due to shuttle driver and basket locking up. Hope I have better luck in the future with this machine. I have an old Juki I've been using for years and never have had problems like this. Had to order $100 worth of parts to make sure I have spares available if this happens again.When requested to speak to a technician was told I would get an email, probably after lunch break, not a call back.
Poor design and material
The shuttle driver is easily bent out of shape due to the soft metal construction. Replacement is then necessary. The design is such that accessing its screws for timing setting is very cumbersome, which makes the procedure tedious and unreliable. Unfortunately the procedure is not infrequently required. Better material and design are strongly suggested.
