Description
CushionRite™ Premium Foam is a high-density, polyurethane seating foam. CushionRite Premium is the best choice when you need a high-quality, long-lasting and dependable indoor-use foam for high-traffic applications. Its density means it will provide excellent support while still delivering on comfort, making it ideal for high-traffic seating cushions (such as couches and sofas), benches, cabin seating, automotive seating and sleeping berths.
CushionRite Premium will typically last up to 12 years. It has an extra-firm stiffness, a density of 2.8 pounds per cubic foot and a foam IFD (Indentation Force Deflection) of 80 pounds. Foam firmness/stiffness is a personal preference. If you prefer a softer foam, choose Premium (Soft), (Medium) or (Firm).
Sailrite recommends the 1-inch-thick foam sheet for chair seat pads.
For outdoor use, consider CushionRite Dry Fast or Premium Antimicrobial Foam. For covered outdoor areas demanding the best comfort, use CushionRite Premium with Cushion Wrap Silk Film wrapped around the foam to help keep moisture out. Pair this with a performance upholstery fabric that has high water resistance, such as Sunbrella® upholstery fabric.
The Sailrite® Blade Foam Saw expertly cuts through a full range of seating foam types. A standard electric kitchen knife can also be used, though the results won’t look as professional. To glue two pieces of foam together, Sailrite recommends using spray adhesive. Foam can also be glued on the sides to make a wider piece or layered to make thicker cushions.
Please Note: Sheet size can vary up to 2 inches in length and 1 inch in width.
Important: Items are compressed for shipping; we recommend unrolling as soon as possible. Compressed foam takes up to a week to regain its original size and shape. Allow foam to fully decompress before cutting or using in a project.

This is high quality foam. It’s better quality than foam you can buy in a local, chain fabric shop. The density will last a lot longer than the cheap foam.

Extra firm foam
Used the extra firm foam to replace the foam in our travel trailer cushions. Combined with firm for perfect density. Have actually replaced all cushions that came with deck chairs etc with this product. Best we have found.
Try reupholstering some seats. It is not difficult to get a nice looking and sitting seat.
This is easy to cut a few different ways. The one inch is good for the seats I am doing. Don’t forget to use polyester batting too!
Works great
I used the foam inside a leather cushion I made for my office chair. The foam was easy to cut and insert after using a plastic bag and shop vac to reduce the size

The best foam on the planet, my friend built a sleeping platform in my Transit, and I used this foam under a 4 inch foam pad the size of a twin mattress, it keeps it from bottoming out, its perfect!!
