Description
CushionRite™ Premium Antimicrobial Foam is a high-density, polyurethane seating foam with antimicrobial properties. CushionRite Premium is the best choice when you need a high-quality, long-lasting and dependable seating foam for high-traffic applications, both indoors and out. Its density means it will provide excellent support while still delivering on comfort, making it ideal for high-traffic seating cushions (such as couches and sofas), powerboat and pontoon seating, cabin seating, automotive seating and sleeping berths.
CushionRite Premium will typically last up to 12 years. It has a firm stiffness, a density of 2.8 pounds per cubic foot and a foam IFD (Indentation Force Deflection) of 60 pounds. Foam firmness/stiffness is a personal preference. If you prefer a softer foam, choose Premium (Soft) or (Medium), or choose Premium (Extra Firm) for a stiffer foam.
The Sailrite® Blade Foam Saw expertly cuts through a full range of seating foam types. A standard electric kitchen knife can also be used, though the results won’t look as professional. To glue two pieces of foam together, Sailrite recommends using spray adhesive. Foam can also be glued on the sides to make a wider piece or layered to make thicker cushions.
Please Note: Sheet size can vary up to 2 inches in length and 1 inch in width.
Important: Items are compressed for shipping; we recommend unrolling as soon as possible. Compressed foam takes up to a week to regain its original size and shape. Allow foam to fully decompress before cutting or using in a project.

High density foam perfect for seat padding
This foam is perfect for replacing the worn out seat padding in our leather recliners. The tip on using our electric kitchen knife to cut the foam was a valuable bonus. We now have nearly new chairs and couldn't be more pleased.
Excellent material, looks and feels great, easy to work with-- I used a really sharp conventional chef's knife. With a little patience, gave nice clean cuts, took a bit of time, but less time than it would have taken to go to Goodwill and buy an electric knife I'd never use for anything else. But pay close attention to the note in the description "Please Note: Sheet size can vary up to 2 inches in length and 1 inch in width." My piece came in about 1/2" narrow in width, and 1" short in length compared to nominal dimensions. (I did leave it sit unrolled for a while before I measured it, so I don't think the issue was that it was still expanding from shipping.) No matter for me, it simply left me with a little less scrap left over to throw away after I cut what I needed, but if you're needs are really close to the nominal dimensions, watch out or perhaps check with Sailrite to see if they can promise the nominal dimensions
